Our Company

It is hard to believe that we began real estate closing work in 1988 and incorporated as Bankers Title & Escrow Corporation in 1991.  Bankers Title began with Rusty Moore as President and founding directors, Sam Bartholomew, Vaden Lackey, Tom French, Thomas Pennington and D. Reed Houk.  Soon the company, a part of the law firm of Stokes & Bartholomew, moved to the West End Avenue location in early 1992.  Jim Waechter joined Bankers Title in 1996 after thirteen years as  a real estate attorney with Walt Dyer & James in Nashville.  After 1997, the company was no longer associated with Stokes & Bartholomew and has continued to grow under the leadership of Rusty Moore and Jim Waechter. 

Through the years Bankers Title has been fortunate to have successful relationships with Realtors, mortgage bankers, relocation companies, builders and developers and to see our business grow.  Our Brentwood office in Maryland Farms was launched in 2000 to serve the growing needs of the Williamson County community and to establish our focus on relocation transactions.  

Bankers Title & Escrow – Clarksville, LLC opened in 2001. We have enjoyed success in the growing Clarksville and Montgomery County community where we have provided professionalism in commercial and residential transactions.  

Bankers Title & Escrow- Dickson, LLC opened in 2007. Creating a dynamic team with an old family relationship between the Moore family and the Frazier family is a true pleasure. The Dickson office has enjoyed success in an expanding community.  

Over the years our clients have relied on Bankers Title for professional and consistent service. We continue to be thankful to our clients for our success. We pride ourselves in being an independent small business. Growing larger is not our business goal. Our goal is to provide a service to our communities with reliability, consistency, accountability and professionalism.
